Braves star to attend 2024 World Series in unexpected role

At the beginning of the season if I told you an Atlanta Brave would be at the 2024 World Series you would probably have thought the team enjoyed a deep postseason run. However, we know the Braves were unceremoniously bounced in the NL Wild Card round by San Diego.

Despite another early exit, ONE Braves star will be attending the 2024 World Series in an unexpected role.

Ozzie Albies set to work for MLB as correspondent at 2024 World Series

According to Justin Toscano of the AJC, Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies will be serving as a correspondent for Major League Baseball during the 2024 World Series. This may give Braves fans a reason to tune in as a series between the powerhouse Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees left many fans wishing there was a way both teams could lose.

MLB did the same thing last year with Mookie Betts serving as a correspondent, but the Dodgers making it to the World Series this year obviously rules him out. Instead Albies will join Padres infielder Luis Arraez and A's outfielder Brent Rooker as the correspondents for this year's World Series.

Each player will interview players and coaches from both teams in both the pregame and postgame. On top of that they will conduct interviews with various celebrities during the game, as this series figures to bring out all the stars considering the markets participating. Albies and Rooker will be helping for game one in Los Angeles and Arraez will work for MLB during game three when the series heads to New York.

Albies will also offer insights during segments on MLB Network and other MLB platforms. It's an exciting reason for Braves fans to tune into and further cements the notion that Ozzie Albies is one of the more well-liked players across the sport.
