MLB The Show has continued to have a chokehold on baseball fans since it first released on Sony's PlayStation 2 in 2006. The game has only improved since then and is the premiere experience for baseball fans who love video games.

They release exclusive programs throughout the year to allow players to earn cards that are useable in games. Some of these cards are easy to earn, but the best of the best has to be achieved through more complicated means.

Ronald Acuña Jr. is one of those more challenging experiences, as MLB The Show 24 recently added what they call the "extreme program." Fans can work their way through iconic moments in baseball and use XP earned during online play to reach the final milestone: a 99-ranked overall MVP Ronald Acuña Jr.

Braves fans will love using this card in online gameplay, as it is maxed out in practically every category, including hitting, fielding, and baserunning. His MVP season was incredible, and he always seemed to get a hit when Atlanta needed it the most. Now, he's been allowed to become a cheat code for players on MLB The Show.

Acuña finished 2023 as the first player to accomplish 40 home runs and 70 stolen bases in a single season. He ended that season with a .337 average with 217 hits, including 35 doubles, 41 homers, 73 stolen bases,106 RBI, and a 1.012 OPS. Ronald also led the league in OBP (.416), OPS+ (171), runs (149), and total bases (383).

It was one of the best seasons by an MLB player in recent memory and worthy of a unanimous MVP selection. It's honestly shocking that the game didn't choose Acuña to be the cover athlete for this year's edition. Regardless, this will be a card that baseball fans likely never remove from their MLB The Show 24 lineup.

Other rewards in this program include a "Finest Series" Jorge Polanco (99 OVR),
Milestone Series" Adam Ottavino (99 OVR), "Finest Series" Paul Goldschmidt (99 OVR), and "Awards Series" Jacob deGrom (99 OVR).
