As the 2025 Atlanta Braves season approaches, there will be a lot of news to cover: roster cuts, roster announcements, and more. Spring training has been going well outside of Sean Murphy's injury and Jurickson Profar's scare. Luckily, recent news coming out of Braves camp lately hasn't been quite as dramatic.
Braves to offer Spanish-language option available on regional broadcasts
FanDuel Sports Network will host most of this season's broadcasts but Gray Media will also have a share of them. However, the Braves announced that FDSN will offer a Spanish-language option for all regional regular season game broadcasts.

FanDuel Sports Network will offer a Spanish-language option starting March 27 for every Atlanta Braves regular season game broadcast regionally, with Francisco X. Rivera as its first Spanish-language play-by-play announcer.βΎπ₯ pic.twitter.com/gE8ZSolUsV
This helps make the wonderful game of baseball accessible to even more fans. Francisco X. Rivera will be the play-by-play announcer for these broadcasts. Rivera is a decorated broadcaster who has almost 20 years of experience under his belt. According to Rivera's post on social media, he will be the first broadcaster to call all five major U.S. sports leagues in the same year.
He also broadcasts for the MLS, NFL, the Los Angeles Kings (NHL), and the Los Angeles Clippers (NBA). Rivera is no stranger to baseball as he's been with Fox Sports Deportes for 13 years as a play-by-play announcer and reporter. He is a welcome addition to Atlanta's talented broadcast team.
Braves announce more spring roster changes as regular season draws near
The spring training roster cut train continues to roll as the Braves try to decide their final roster for Opening Day. RHP Dylan Covey was reassigned to minor league camp on Wednesday afternoon. Covey was signed to a minor league deal last month and wasn't very impressive in MLB camp with a 4.05 ERA over 6.2 IP. However, he was always going to be a depth option for the Braves as he didn't pitch much in 2024 due to a shoulder injury.
Infielder Charles Leblanc was also reassigned to MiLB camp on Thursday morning. Leblanc was signed to a minor league deal early in the offseason after spending 2024 in the Angels organization. He compiled a .254/.379/.437 line with 12 HR, 52 RBI, and an impressive 16.4% walk rate at the Triple-A level.
The #Braves today reassigned INF Charles Leblanc to minor league camp. Atlanta now has 43 players in camp.

The third baseman had played in nine games this spring and was 5-for-16 with one homer, three RBI, one walk, and four K. Again, another good depth piece for the Braves to have in the minor leagues who could potentially make some noise this year.
Atlanta now has 43 players left in camp and the main focus is going to be on the bullpen. There are three spots remaining so keep your eyes peeled for more news over the next couple of weeks.
