While the Atlanta Braves have been rolling along this season, they have had to do so without Ronald Acuña Jr. playing a big role. Acuña Jr. hasn't been "bad" as he had a 109 wRC+ coming into Saturday's matchup against the Rockies, but he has not been the dynamic game-breaking presence we often saw in years past. Unfortunately, Saturday was not a breakout performance, but instead another injury concern for the former MVP.
After singling and scoring a run in the first thanks to Drake Baldwin's first non-solo home run of the season, Acuña Jr. came to the plate in the second looking to help the Braves build on their lead. Unfortunately, a ground out to the right side result in a missed opportunity, but Acuña Jr. came up lame running to first and grabbed what appeared to be his left hamstring.
That proved to be very relevant as Acuña Jr. was pulled from the game once the Braves were done hitting in the second.

Ronald Acuña Jr. leaves game against Rockies early as the injury bug rears its ugly head
If Acuña Jr.'s injury is bad enough to pull him from a game in the second inning and willingly replace him with Eli White, that is not a great sign. Assuming it is a hamstring that is bothering him, those can resolve themselves without an IL stint if it is just a cramp, or they can be severe enough to end a player's season on the spot.
Unfortunately, the severity of Acuña Jr.'s injury isn't something that we have a lot of clues to draw from to make an educated guess. Even having a full understanding of "what" Acuña Jr. hurt based on what we saw is pretty dicey. Manager Walt Weiss is generally pretty matter of fact, so we should get something useful after the game.
If Acuña Jr. does miss significant time, the Braves don't exactly have a lot of outfield depth at the moment and center fielder Michael Harris II is currently nursing a quad injury at the moment, keeping him from playing defense. If you were looking to see a good bit more playing time for Eli While, you may be in for a treat soon. As for Acuña Jr., all we have is another bout of injury uncertainty that could change the Braves' trajectory yet again.
