Our long wait is finally over. While there has been precious little in the way of moves for the big league club, the Atlanta Braves are a mortal lock to make a number of signings as today marks the opening of international free agency.
The Braves' luck with international free agency has been a mixed bag in recent years. Obviously the scandal under John Coppolella set them back years, but they have struggled to find a lot of impact players even without the penalties lately as Ambioris Tavarez and Diego Benitez look like they may be busts and both Jose Perdomo and Luis Guanipa have yet to get going in the minors.
Hopefully this next crop of prospects for Atlanta pays more dividends. Here is what we know so far about this year's class.
Here are the international free agents the Braves have signed so far
The centerpiece of the Braves' international signing class is, without question, Cuban outfielder Diego Tornes who agreed to sign for a reported $2.5 million. Tornes is a tooled up switch-hitter who has a lot of scouts very excited at the moment, but the Braves still have plenty of room to add additional high level talent as well. Here are the players the Braves have signed or are expected to sign with international free agency officially open.

While Tornes is the headliner, Raudy Reyes is a name that Braves fans need to keep an eye on. The teenager is already hitting triple digits with his fastball and, assuming he finds the strike zone at all in the Dominican Summer League, he is going to put up some eye-popping numbers early on.
