The Atlanta Braves have a lot to discuss this offseason. 2026 didn't end the way anyone hoped it would, but they can't change it now. Given that the team is having to watch the World Series from their couches, we can at least see if either team in the Fall Classic has any players who could help the Braves in 2027.
There will be a lot of decisions to make to improve the team and prevent the same issues next season. Atlanta's front office could take a look at the 2026 World Series to find some solutions for the roster.
Here are the 4 players in the World Series that could help the Braves in 2027
Jake Bauers
Bauers had the best season of his career in 2026, despite almost calling it quits two years ago. He slashed .266/.389/.484, with 22 doubles, 26 home runs, 86 RBI, and an .873 OPS. Milwaukee's first baseman has really made a name for himself and carried his great work into the postseason.
He will be a free agent in the offseason and could be a viable target for the Braves as a designated hitter. However, that will depend on whether the Brewers decide to bring back their first baseman or not.
JoJo Romero
Romero was a sought-after target at the trade deadline this year. He has been a fine pickup for the Brewers with a 3.38 ERA, two walks, and 11 strikeouts over 13.1 innings after joining them. The lefty has been great in his first playoff experience with a 1.42 ERA, one walk, and 10 strikeouts over 6.1 innings pitched.
His groundball rate remains elite, along with an impressive walk rate. He has underperformed in almost every other statistic, but he still found a way to get out of jams when he needed to.
Freddy Peralta
Peralta was a top offseason addition for the Mets, but they both tanked so badly that he was traded at the deadline. He lucked out by being traded to the Rays, and now he is fighting for a World Series title. The right-hander will be a free agent in the offseason and could be a fine addition to Atlanta's rotation.
Peralta had a 4.99 ERA over 22 starts with the Mets, but was much better in Tampa, with a 3.25 ERA over 10 starts. He isn't a frontline starter by any means, but he could be a valuable middle-of-the-rotation starter for the Braves.
Tyler Wells
Wells was another trade deadline pickup for the Rays from the Orioles. He improved his already impressive work with Baltimore once he arrived. Wells had a 1.50 ERA, five walks, and 19 strikeouts over 18 innings.
For a pitcher with a fastball that only averaged 93.4 mph in 2026, he really excelled in a lot of categories. Wells' chase, whiff, hard-hit, walk, and strikeout rates were all among the best in baseball. That's certainly something Atlanta's bullpen could benefit from.
