Atlanta Braves Ask Me Anything with Eric Cole – 12/1
Good evening, Atlanta Braves fans! Sorry that we weren’t able to have our Q&A last week. Given that it was Thanksgiving Day, I chose to spend the day connecting with family and recovering from the obscene amount of food I ate. I trust that most, if not all of you were doing the same thing.
Things have remained quiet with the Braves for a while now, but this coming week is an important one as the Winter Meetings begin this coming Sunday. This is traditionally where a ton of wheeling and dealing happens and while free agency has been creeping more and more into the January/February part of the offseason calendar, we can expect a good bit of news and some rumors to come out over the next week.
Will we find out which teams are going to be actively pursuing Dansby Swanson this offseason? Maybe…we will certainly find out which teams are being aggressive in the shortstop market. Will the Braves be able to unload Ozuna? Doubtful, but its okay to dream. What other crazy stuff can we expect? There is no telling.
We will also get the Contemporary Era Hall of Fame announcement on Sunday and the Rule 5 Draft a few days after that. It should be a fun and busy week.
Hit me with your Atlanta Braves (or whatever) questions
The way this works is simple: all you do is log in and post your questions in the comments and I will reply with my answers. I can type pretty fast, but if there are a lot of questions…just be patient with me and I will get to yours. You can ask me Braves related questions (majors or minors), questions about the site, or really anything as long as it isn’t super creepy/too personal (if you don’t know where that line is, its probably best to play it safe).
I will be answering a lot of questions as they come in to start, but at some point, I am going to need to do things like “eat”, “say hi to my wife”, and “sleep”, so there may be some pauses/delays. Once we get past the initial barrage of questions, I do plan on circling back to this post over the next day or so to answer questions that trickle in. After that, you are probably best served to drop by the Q&A next week.
