April

Atlanta Braves acquire RHP Jesse Chavez and cash from the Chicago Cubs for LHP Sean Newcomb

After a strong season in Atlanta’s bullpen a year ago, the Braves acquired Chavez from the Cubs on April 21 after only three outings with Chicago to begin the year. In return, the Cubs received Newcomb, with the left-hander having posted a combined 9.13 ERA across 22.2 IP in the major leagues this season, as well as a 3.38 ERA in the minors.

June

Atlanta Braves acquire C Dawson Dimon from the Tampa Bay Rays

The Braves made two trades during the month of June, both of which came within a day of each other. The first came on June 6 when Atlanta acquired Dimon, a 23-year-old catcher from Tampa Bay, who has appeared in a combined six games with the organization this season in the minor leagues.

Atlanta Braves acquire RHP Jacob Webb from the Arizona Diamondbacks

A day later the Braves (re-)acquired Webb from the Diamondbacks, a right-hander whom Arizona had claimed off waivers from Atlanta back on April 19. Webb has not appeared in a game in the major leagues with Atlanta this season, and owns a 5.93 ERA across 27.1 IP with Triple-A Gwinnett.
