The Atlanta Braves enter the 2021 postseason with a roster full of proven playoff experience and success. However, out of all the players on the roster, who has had the greatest success in the postseason during their career?

The 2021 Atlanta Braves have a roster full of previous postseason success.

Here is a look at five players on the Braves roster with the best career postseason success, all of which will be key to the Braves success this October.

SP Charlie Morton

The Braves Game 1 starter in the NLDS, Morton has pitched in 13 postseason games during his MLB career in the Division, Championship, and World Series, 12 of which were starts. Across 61.1 innings pitched with the Astros, Rays, and Pirates in October, Morton holds a career 3.38 ERA in the postseason with 22 walks and 67 strikeouts.

OF Joc Pederson

The Braves player with the most previous postseason experience is Pederson who has appeared in 64 games since 2015, all of which were with the Dodgers. A career .272/.349/.503 hitter in the postseason, Pederson has hit 9 home runs and 20 RBI in October, as well as 3-for-14 in eight postseason games against the Brewers.

1B Freddie Freeman

Freeman has appeared in 26 postseason games during his Braves career where he has slashed a combined .283/.377/.465 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI. Across 16 career NLDS games, Freeman has also posted a .659 OPS across 64 at-bats.

OF Jorge Soler

While the entire sample size came in 2015-16 with the Cubs, Soler slashed a combined .344/.488/.781 across 15 career postseason games. In six NLDS games, Soler holds a career 1.611 OPS across 11 at-bats with 2 home runs.

SS Dansby Swanson

Not only is Swanson entering the postseason after a career year, but he comes into October as an accomplished postseason player. Across 17 postseason games, Swanson has slashed .302/.357/.556 with 3 home runs and 11 RBI.

With other notables such as Max Fried, Orlando Arcia, Ian Anderson, Eddie Rosario, and Tyler Matzek, in particular, all having impressive postseason resumes, there is no denying that the Braves have a roster loaded with previous postseason success. Will this previous success come into play over the next couple of weeks?
