The Atlanta Braves have just clinched their fourth straight NL title, after last years heartbreak to the Dodgers, could this be the year where the Braves are supreme in baseball for the first time since 1995?

The Atlanta Braves have defeated the Phillies 5-3, which means for the fourth consecutive year, they are the NL East champions. Despite losing Ronald Acuna Jr. earlier in the year, a lot of fans were beginning to lose hope that the Braves would be able to do much at all.

With the Atlanta Braves not even playing .500 baseball for the majority of the season, the year seemed to be all but lost. When the offense was on, the pitching wasn’t, and when the pitching was lights out, the bats fell silent.

With the absence of key players like Ozuna, who is still out pending a legal investigation for domestic violence, as well as Acuna tearing his ACL the optimism was low, but when the Braves were playing less than .500 the fans grew increasingly frustrated with a team that just one year earlier, came within one game of the World Series.

The Atlanta infield has certainly been a real treat for fans all throughout Braves country, lots of home runs and plenty of good defensive baseball all around. Freddie Freeman got back into his 2020 MVP form, and Austin Riley ended up having a stellar year that the fans have been wanting to see from him since his debut.

With a team that is still missing key pieces, one can only ask if the Braves have enough to get it done, if this year is actually the year. With the way the team has played as of late, they have shown that they have the power as well as the stuff from their young and seasoned arms to win a World Series.
