11. Chicago White Sox– Congratulations go out to Carlos Rodon who after a long road back and a ton of injuries threw another White Sox no-hitter last week. This time it came against the Cleveland Indians.

12. Milwaukee Brewers– In the past, many of us would assume it was the Brewers offense that was leading the way, but so far in 2021, it has been the exact opposite as the pitching has led the way in the early going.

13. Cleveland Indians– Most would agree deGrom is the best pitcher in baseball but I think it is very fair to say that Shane Bieber is probably the second best right now. He is putting up eye popping strikeout numbers.

14. Cincinnati Reds– Looking at the Reds, it is easy to see why so many teams are surprising early in the season. It is obvious if you get good pitching, you have an easier time to win games which is what the Reds are doing.

15. Philadelphia Phillies- The Phillies took two out of three against the Cardinals and the team’s ace Aaron Nola was fantastic on Sunday allowing no runs against the Red birds.

16. Atlanta Braves- We just cant seem to have anything go our way in Atlanta Braves country right now. On a Sunday night where we were mashing the baseball out of Wrigley Field, Ronald Acuna just had to get hurt. It can only get better right?

17. Toronto Blue Jays- The Blue Jays were supposed to have one of the better bullpens in the game, and they still probably do, but it has to be tough when both of your top two guys go on the IL, which is what has happened to the Blue Jays.

18. Houston Astros- After that blazing start, the Astros have hit a wall as they have lost 7 out of their last 8 games. It certainly did not help when they had to put a group of players on the IL due to Covid related reasons.

19. St. Louis Cardinals- Over the last week, Atlanta Braves fans have turned into Cardinals fans as they played against the Phillies and Nationals. That will continue this week as they start a series with the Nationals on Monday again.

20. Miami Marlins- The Marlins went back home after almost sweeping the Atlanta Braves and won another series against the Giants. They may not make the playoffs again, but enough talent there to be pesky.
