The star right fielder of the Atlanta Braves is scorching hot right now.

One thing is for certain regarding the Atlanta Braves so far, Ronald Acuna is lighting the world on fire. It may not have seemed possible, but he has gotten better since joining the league.

The real question is, is he the best player in the world right now. I know Mike Trout is still amazing, and Juan Soto is great, but Ronald Acuna is the total package and when locked in, can possibly be the best player in the game.

A generational talent has arrived for us, and he can do it all. Hit the long ball, steal the base, drive balls in the gaps, play great defense. Perhaps he is a six tool player?

At his current pace, a 40-40 season is inevitable. The real question is 50-50. Now, let’s be honest, he will at some point go cold for a stretch and his numbers will come back some to reality.

This is another reason why it is so important that whoever is hitting behind Acuna, be productive. That’s why for the Atlanta Braves it makes sense to have Freddie Freeman there, it allows Acuna to see better pitches and teams can not be selective with what they throw to Acuna.

With not a lot else going right for the Braves, it is nice to see Acuna come out of the gate on fire. He has put the team on his back and is trying his best to win games almost single handedly. Hopefully, and it is expected, the rest of the team will catch up and turn this thing around.
