11. New York Yankees- The vaunted New York Yankees offense was treading along but did erupt for four runs in the tenth inning on Sunday. It will be interesting to see if that will light it up for a stretch for the team’s bats.
12. St. Louis Cardinals- Atlanta Braves fans are hoping St. Louis can continue the early season troubles for the Nationals as the two teams start a series on Monday. The Cardinals dropped two to the Brewers to end last week.
13. Minnesota Twins- The Twins are expected to be good all year but if Byron Buxton and Jose Berrios both continue on the pace they are, they might be able to finally put an end to their postseason blues.
14. Milwaukee Brewers- The Brewers have been getting success so far this year based off of the team’s pitching. If that remains the case and the teams’ offense ever gets hot, they will be a dangerous team.
15. Tampa Bay Rays- The Rays were a run away from sweeping the Yankees over the weekend, but that should not be surprising when you consider that they are 12-2 against them over the last 14 matchups.
16. Seattle Mariners- The Mariners could be that one team that stays in the race and surprises this year. If that is the case, they will be one of the most pitching needy teams come the summertime.
17. Toronto Blue Jays- It has not been the best of starts for the Toronto/Dunedin Blue Jays but one bright spot so far has been Steven Matz who is pitching as he pitched against the Atlanta Braves for so many years.
18. New York Mets- We finally got to see the Mets play in a few games but the fans did not get to see much offense as they only scored more than 3 runs in 1 contest. They too also got lucky with a walk-off hit by pitch.
19. Chicago Cubs- The Cubs have not got off to a great start at the plate as the leader in batting average on the team is only at .242. That would be Javy Baez who also leads the team in Home runs and RBI.
20. Chicago White Sox- The White Sox cannot complain about the production they have gotten from Lance Lynn so far, who still holds a 0.00 ERA and has been every bit as dominant as he was with the Rangers.
