21. San Francisco Giants- A big story to follow this year will be Kevin Gausman. Was his 2020 season a mirage or has he figured it out to become one of the game’s better pitchers?

22. Colorado Rockies- The Rockies still have hitters and can be a dangerous team. As always though, this team just lacks so much in the pitching department they can not make up the ground needed.

23. Texas Rangers- Nate Lowe went off over the weekend as the Rangers and Royals combined for backyard baseball scores. He already has 9 RBI which is 6 more than the Atlanta Braves have total runs.

24. Chicago White Sox- The White Sox have started off the 2021 season a little shaky but simply put, there is too much talent on this team for them to keep struggling. They will find a way to win games.

25. Atlanta Braves- That was about the worst weekend you could imagine for the Atlanta Braves to start off the season. Absolutely nothing went right but yet they still could have won two out of the three games.

26. Miami Marlins- The Marlins have just enough talent to be pesky in the NL East race, but I still think they finish last in the division and fail to duplicate last year’s success.

27. Arizona Diamondbacks- Ketel Marte has picked up right where he left off last year and that is one of the better players in the game. He comes out of the gate red hot as he went 9-16 over the four-game series against the Padres.

28. Pittsburgh Pirates- They stayed competitive against the Cubs all weekend but the big blow might be the injury to young phenom KeBryan Hayes. Hopefully he heals up quickly and is back on the field.

29. Oakland Athletics- Not the way you want to start off the season by getting swept to possibly the biggest challenger in your division. Not to mention, it was a four-game sweep and not a three-game sweep.

30. Boston Red Sox- The Red Sox were out-everything by the Baltimore Orioles in the opening weekend. For just the second time in history, they fall to 0-3 with all three games being at home. This may be a long year in Beantown.

So that is our rankings for this week. Surely things will change up by the time we do this next week.
