Jake Mastroianni

  • AL MVP- Mike Trout. As long as he is breathing, I will pick the best player in the game by far.
  • NL MVP- Ronald Acuna. I think he is out to be the best young player in baseball. He will push for a 40-40 year and lead the Atlanta Braves to another division title.
  • AL Cy Young- Gerrit Cole. Honestly not a lot of competition in the AL and Cole should dominate against a weak AL East.
  • NL Cy Young- Jacob deGrom. Very similar to Trout at this point. He is simply the best in the game.
  • AL ROY- Casey Mize. A local kid who should have plenty of opportunity against a weak AL Central.
  • NL ROY- Ian Anderson. Definitely going to be some regression but still enough there to put up solid numbers worthy of being the rookie of the year.
  • AL East- Yankees
  • AL Central- White Sox
  • AL West- Astros
  • NL East- Braves
  • NL Central- Brewers
  • NL West- Dodgers
  • AL Wild Cards- Rays and Twins
  • NL Wild Cards- Mets and Padres
  • World Series- Dodgers over Yankees
  • Disappointment- White Sox (I expect them to be good obviously with them winning the division but will still fall short of expectations)

Edgar Galvan

  • AL MVP- Mike Trout. Safest bet
  • NL MVP- Juan Soto. Acuna will be in the conversation all year but will fall just short and be runner-up
  • AL Cy Young- Gerrit Cole. Cole will win his first Cy Young award
  • NL Cy Young- Jacob deGrom. Another safe bet
  • AL ROY- Randy Arozarena. He was so good in the playoffs last year and I expect him to continue that success into this year.
  • NL ROY- Ian Anderson. If gets enough starts, I could easily see him winning this award.
  • AL East- Yankees
  • AL Central- White Sox
  • AL West- A’s
  • NL East- Atlanta Braves
  • NL Central- Cardinals
  • NL West- Dodgers
  • AL Wild Cards- Rays and Blue Jays
  • NL Wild Cards- Padres and Mets
  • World Series- Atlanta Braves over White Sox
  • Disappointment- Astros

So that is our preview of the 2021 MLB season. Surely we will come back in October and see how bad we exactly did. Hopefully the one’s who predicted the Atlanta Braves winning the World Series are the one’s who will look like geniuses.
