Braves: Freddie Freeman, Ronald Acuna Jr. Are 2 of the Best in MLB
MLB has been doing their positional and player rankings leading up to Spring Training, and the Atlanta Braves have two players in the top 10.
It’s a very exciting time to be an Atlanta Braves fan with all of the superstar talent it has on the roster.
We’ve all known for years that Freddie Freeman is one of the best players in all of baseball, but the entire country has slowly started to come to that same conclusion.
An NL MVP now on his mantle certainly buys you some respect, and MLB.com ranks the Braves first baseman as the fourth-best player in the game.
The three ahead of him are pretty good — one of them costing Freddie a trip to the World Series last year.
It’s never really a question who the best player in the sport is — they should honestly just start these rankings at two because anyone who doesn’t have Mike Trout at the top is just trying to draw attention to themselves.
However, Trout will turn 30 this year, and his reign as the best player in the game could be ending a couple of years.
Someone who is in a good spot to take that title is Ronald Acuna Jr. — who ranks seventh on this list.
He has two young studs ahead of him in Juan Soto and Fernando Tatis Jr., but I think Acuna is on a mission in 2021 to prove he’s the next big thing in baseball.
As long as he stays healthy all year, I would not be surprised at all if Acuna gets that 40-40 season and wins the NL MVP.
Braves fans know how good Acuna has been, but you ask any Braves fan and most will tell you he’s only scratched the surface of his potential.
And now that he’s moved into his rightful position in the outfield, he’s going to become a Gold Glove player as well.
You can’t complain as a Braves fan when your team includes two of the best players in all of baseball who will be battling each other for the NL MVP in 2021. It’s going to be a fun season with these two.
