We took a look at NL East players that could be of interest to the Atlanta Braves in a previous post, this time we look at the NL Central.

Obviously, it get’s a little more realistic once we move away from the NL East as all other divisions in the game will be more willing to avoid the brushback by dealing with the Atlanta Braves.

Perhaps no other division in baseball is more wide open as of right now going into the 2021 season than the NL Central. All teams have work to do and their is talk of the defending champs, the Chicago Cubs scaling back some, but as of late November, it’s easy to still make a case for four teams to be the favorite. (Sorry to any Pittsburgh Pirates fans)

No other team has more to sell than the afore mentioned Cubs. We will dive more into it on their column but if they decide to tear it down, they have a handful of pieces that will entice not only the Atlanta Braves, but many other clubs through out the game.

On the other hand, perhaps the Milwaukee Brewers would be a good trading partner for the Atlanta Braves as they seem to need both young hitters and pitchers alike. I am sure a few names in the Braves system would entice them to have an in depth conversation with the Braves front office.

No doubt a lot of uncertainty lies ahead for all clubs over the next few months but I am sure just like every other season, the general managers phones will be ringing and have for some weeks already. Alex Anthopolous has and will certainly have more conversations with his NL Central counterparts. With that being said, let’s go ahead and take a look at the players that could be involved for the talks with the Atlanta Braves.
