We are in the final week of the 2020 regular season and the playoffs are already about to start.

This season flew by for the Atlanta Braves and all of major league baseball. Despite some skeptics at the beginning, it seems we are going to make it all the way through and have a champion after all.

With that being said, let’s get to our final power rankings of the season.

30. Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pirates will almost assuredly not reach the 20 win mark on the season and its been really bad for the Bucco’s. It seems the Cubs will get lucky and win the NL Central because they start a 4 game set on Monday.

29. Arizona Diamondbacks

I had the Diamondbacks in the playoffs back in July, and that could not be much farther from reality. The Diamondbacks will have to regroup and figure out where they go after the bad 2020 season comes to an end.

28. Texas Rangers

If I would have told you the World Series would be played in Globe Life park back in February….you might have looked at me crazy, but yet here we are.

27. Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox may have found a little lightning in a bottle here as rookie Tanner Houck has looked extremely good in his first two career starts, including limiting the Yankees to one hit over the weekend.

26. Detroit Tigers

A little surprising and abrupt news over the weekend as Tigers skipper Ron Gardenhire retired kind of out of the blue. One has to wonder if their is more to the story as to why he could not simply finish the last week of the season?

25. Kansas City Royals

The Royals can still be a pest for the St. Louis Cardinals and derail their playoff plans if they come out and play a good tough series against the Redbirds here to start the week.

24. Baltimore Orioles

Atlanta Braves fans found out firsthand how pesky the Baltimore Orioles could be as the birds took a series win over the Braves last weekend. We’ve said it a few times but brighter days are ahead.

23. Colorado Rockies

Technically, the Rockies still have a shot at the playoffs, but a ton would have to happen, including them winning out most likely. So yeah, we are going to go ahead and write them off this year.

22. Seattle Mariners

Seattle is going to fall short, but all in all it will be a good building block of a season for the Mariners, and one they will be happy with I would think. The young kids got lots of playing time in meaningful games.

21. Los Angeles Angels

Julio Teheran has been abysmal for the Angels and it looks as if we are going to see another October without Mike Trout being able to showcase his talent in playoff games for the world to see.
