A week of frustration led the Atlanta Braves offense taking out their anger on the Miami Marlins Wednesday night.

The Atlanta Braves have taken their share of punches this past week losing two-of-three to the Phillies, losing their ace pitcher to the IL, and then dropping two to the Miami Marlins.

But on Wednesday night it was their turn to dish out some punishment as they set an NL franchise record for runs scored in a game with 29.

Every Braves player that got an at-bat in the game picked up a hit as the team had 23 of them in the game.

All nine starters scored a run, and all but one had an RBI. Wouldn’t you know it was Dansby Swanson that didn’t pick up the RBI after he was moved to the fifth spot in the lineup for more RBI chances.

But he was one of three players that scored five times in the game along with Austin Riley and Adam Duvall.

Duvall, Freddie Freeman, and Ronald Acuna Jr. all had 5 RBI or more.

It was Duvall who stole the show on Wednesday night with 3 home runs and 9 RBI.

Duvall became the first player in the team’s history with multiple three home run games. Not just in a season, but ever. And he did it over an eight-day span.

They fell just one run short of tying the all-time record for runs scored in a game, but again, they did set the mark for an NL team.

Acuna, Freeman, Swanson, Duvall, and Ozzie Albies all had 3 hits apiece in this game.

This was Ozzie’s first game in nearly a month, and he also managed to go deep in the game — one of seven home runs hit by the Braves on Wednesday that accounted for 18 of their 29 runs.

And maybe the craziest stat of the night comes on the pitching side as Bryse Wilson picked up a save after pitching the final four frames.

That has to be the most stress-free save a pitcher can ever have.

Let’s hope the Braves carry these hot bats to Washington this weekend.
