A monster night from Marcell Ozuna and another impressive performance by Ian Anderson help lift the Atlanta Braves over the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Boston Red Sox 10-3 on Tuesday night, and in the process won their first series against the Red Sox since 2004. Ironically 2004 was the year the Red Sox broke the curse.

Ian Anderson made his second start and pitched well and did everything the Atlanta Braves probably hoped for.

Despite the score, the game was close in the middle innings when it was tied 2-2 before the Atlanta Braves scored 2 in the 6th to make it 4-2, and then went crazy in the 8th when they added 6 more to get to the final number of 10.

Without a doubt though, the main story of the night was the absolute power show that Marcell Ozuna put on display as he mashed three home runs and 6 runs batted in. That alone is memorable as Braves legends like Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones, or Brian McCann never achieved that in their Braves days.

The funny thing is none of them were wall scrapers either as each one of them was absolutely crushed. The third one in the eighth inning was the longest and the tale of the tape lied as they said it only went 436 feet. It went AT LEAST 30 feet farther than that.

Ozuna has been everything he was advertised to be to this point for the Atlanta Braves. Yes, we became really fortunate when baseball implemented the league wide Universal DH because that is exactly what players like Marcell Ozuna were born to do.

Lastly, in the long history of the game and Fenway park in general, Ozuna is the first-ever National League player to have a three home run game in Boston. Marcell Ozuna was truly a one-man wrecking crew on Tuesday night.

We are going to kind of leave it there because we plan on having a more in-depth article in the next day or two about how the Atlanta Braves should really consider keeping Ozuna around longer than just the 2020 season.
