We take a crack at predicting who will be part of the Atlanta Braves 60-man roster when spring training 2.0 opens up.
The Atlanta Braves and all 30 teams will begin spring training 2.0 on July 3 and each team has the opportunity to invite a maximum of 60 players to camp.
For a guide and more information on how spring training 2.0 will work, all of that information is greatly outlined here in an article from Mass Live.
The Braves have already decided that they will have the 30 guys who are expected to make the Opening Day roster train at Truist Park, while the other 30 trains down the road in Gwinnett.
That will make it a lot easier to get players the most reps and also keep them isolated so hopefully there are no health-related issues.
So once we know who is in the camp at Truist we’ll have a pretty clear picture of who will be on the Opening Day roster.
It will be quite interesting to see if they move a guy from Truist to Gwinnett and vice-versa — essentially meaning someone has been demoted and another promoted.
But I kind of doubt a lot of that will happen. If they think there are still some roster spots that need to be decided they’ll likely just take a couple of extra guys to Truist.
For the most part I think the Braves already have a very good idea of the 30 players they want to take into the regular season.
I’m going to break up my predictions into the first 30 and next 30 by position types.
