In what has become an annual event, TomahawkTake is asked about the upcoming season and how things are going with the Atlanta Braves.

The off-season still technically has to be called ‘incomplete’, though any further changes for the Atlanta Braves are likely to be very limited and targeted… such as Mark Bowman’s suggestion that a 5th starter might be picked up off the scrap heap at some point in the next six weeks.

So now may be a good time to evaluate the State of the Braves as pitchers and catchers are shuffling into North Port and the Grapefruit League season is about to get underway.

CardsConclave.com is a St. Louis Cardinals blog site, and they have been making a annual habit of getting the pulse of all 30 MLB clubs via a Question&Answer session at this time of the year.

Daniel Shoptaw (@C70 on twitter) has honored us by asking the site to participate in this review again this season, and we’re happy to help again this year to give a feel of where the Braves are right now.

It’s a fun exercise and it helps us to come up with an honest assessment of this club as the pitchers and catcher report to camp.

So here are the questions that CardsConclave wanted feedback on:

  1. Atlanta had a busy offseason, culminating (at least so far) with the signing of Marcell Ozuna.  What move did you like the most and which move were you a bit leery of?
  2. Cardinal fans saw all they wanted of Ronald Acuna Jr. in the NLDS.  Is last year’s season about what you expect from him or is there still more in there?
  3. Who will establish themselves as the team ace by the end of the season?
  4. What are your expectations for 2020?  Where do you think they’ll finish in the division?
  5. What’s the main topic Braves fans are discussing that maybe isn’t obvious to other teams?
  6. What are you looking forward to most about the coming season?

Here’s how the responses went…
