With more moves still likely to be made, we compare the current Atlanta Braves roster to see if it’s already better than the 2019 version.

We know Alex Anthopoulos is still out looking to make moves this offseason for the Atlanta Braves, but what if this it? What if there are no more moves to be made.

It’s very possible that the Braves get out-bid for Josh Donaldson, and it’s very possible that the asking price for the high-end talent available on the trade market becomes too expensive.

I still believe AA has one more big move up his sleeve this offseason, but I can’t help but think this could be the roster we go into the season with.

And if that’s the case, has the team really gotten better this offseason?

Recently PointsBet put out their betting lines for the 2020 MLB season giving win projections for every team.

They had the Braves win total at 90.5, which would be well below the 97 games they won in 2019.

However, based on their projections that would still be good enough to win the division.

They currently have the Nationals at 89.5 wins, the Phillies at 84.5, the Mets at 86.5, and the Marlins at 64.5.

What’s interesting is they expect every team in the NL East other than the Braves and Nationals to increase their win total from a season ago.

There is no doubt the competition will be fierce in the NL East again. This past season only the Marlins didn’t have a .500 or better record.

Atlanta has a lot of young talent coming back that you hope takes a step forward, and because of that I still believe they are the favorites to win the NL East.

But is this current roster on paper better than the 2019 version?
