ATLANTA, GEORGIA – OCTOBER 09: Josh Donaldson (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images) /

Free Agents

Josh Donaldson– Without a doubt, the most sought after free agent from Braves fan’s on twitter is simply to retain Josh Donaldson. It makes sense from every which way you look at it as well. He’s from the Southeast, and he became a fan favorite last year after his strong comeback campaign.

It makes sense from the Braves perspective as well, as they would get the third baseman and power bat they need without having to shed a single prospect they would have too in a trade. Hopefully by the time AA leaves the West coast, we have Donaldson back on the payroll.

Corey Dickerson– I am of the belief the Braves need to strengthen the bench and adding a player like Dickerson would surely do that. I would also feel confident in Dickerson making some starts to give the other outfielders a breather and in the almost sure to happen scenario of an injury. Obviously a player like Dickerson wouldn’t break the bank either.

Marcell Ozuna– The Braves have already sacrificed a draft pick with their signing of Will Smith, so why stop there? Prospects are never a sure thing and I would rather have the guarantee of getting a couple good years out of a player like Ozuna anyways.

Ozuna was almost a 1 man wrecking crew for the Cardinals in the playoff series against the Braves. Maybe if he winds up in Atlanta, we could all reverse the roles next October?

Hyun-Jin Ryu– A couple things have surprised me thus far, and those are the fact that their has been little talk surrounding the NL Cy Young award winner in free agency so far, and two is the fact that the Braves haven’t been linked to them at all.

Ryu seems to fit what the Braves would be looking for after all as since he is a little older than most free agents, he wouldn’t command a long term deal one would think, and therefore would not completely block the kids in the minors. Only time will tell if anything else could come of this potential reunion.
