Phillies

This is another team that it would really hurt to see Donaldson go to, but you know the Philadelphia Phillies are going to be in play with their big budget.

The Phillies don’t have a great option at third base right now with Scott Kingery and Maikel Franco both listed there on their current depth chart.

Those guys have plenty of power potential, but Franco, especially, doesn’t give you much average and isn’t great at getting on base with a .297 OBP in 2019.

Kingery wasn’t much better with an OBP of .315 this past season and a career OBP of just .291. Plus, I think Kingery is better suited as a utility man they can move all over the place.

Just like with the Brewers, I could see Donaldson being a great fit in the Phillies lineup and in their little league ballpark.

But then again, Donaldson is a great fit in just about every lineup.

We know the Phillies aren’t afraid to spend big money, and maybe they give Donaldson that three-year deal for around $75 million.

They also have some holes in their rotation that they probably need to address first, but don’t be surprised to see the Phillies showing a lot of interest in Donaldson this offseason.
