Brewers/Cardinals

I’m combining both of these teams because I think they are both in about the same boat. The Brewers tend to go more for offense than pitching and could be looking for a big bat to replace Mike Moustakas.

Donaldson would actually be a really good fit in that lineup and in Miller Park.

If the Brewers continue their trend of trying to be slug-first team, then I could see them making a push to sign Josh Donaldson this offseason.

How terrible would it be to see Donaldson play for the hated St. Louis Cardinals?

The Cardinals have had interest in Donaldson for years now and could go after him this offseason to add a big bat to a lineup that could use a boost.

Outside of that first inning in Game 5 of the NLDS, Paul Goldschmidt and Marcell Ozuna were the only ones doing anything for them on offense.

And with Ozuna now a free agent, they’ll definitely need to bring in a big bat or two.

I could definitely see the Cardinals making a push for Donaldson this offseason, but I don’t see them giving him the money and years he’ll likely get from other teams.

And it would just pain me if he went to the Cards after what happened in the postseason.

Cardinals: 30/1

Brewers: 20/1
