Kyle Wright or Bryse Wilson

I’m combining these two because I think they are in the same boat. I think one of them is going to be the team’s fifth starter to start the 2020 season, and I think the other one will be traded.

Both have done all they can in the minors and it’s time to see what they can do when given a shot at the big leagues.

Unless the Braves go out and get two starting pitchers this offseason, I think Kyle Wright or Bryse Wilson will get a shot in the starting rotation.

But I also think Atlanta will be shopping both of these guys during the offseason, and one of them will likely get traded.

On my Opening Day roster predictions, I had Bryse Wilson as the team’s fifth starter, which tells you my feelings.

I’ve never been high on Wright, and while he may have the higher ceiling, I think Wilson is more of a sure thing.

Plus, because of what I just said, I think Wright has more value in a trade and could bring us back a very good player.

Again, I’m not giving up on either of these guys, but I would be OK with letting either one of them go if it brings us back a really good, established Major League player.
