We look at five prospects that the Atlanta Braves could trade this offseason in order to make major upgrades for the future.

The Atlanta Braves are very much in a win-now mode, which means it is time to start moving some of their top prospects to win now.

Understandably since Alex Anthopoulos took over as the GM in Atlanta he has been very cautious about moving any of the Braves top prospects.

He’s been able to make some very solid trades without giving up much in return.

Joey Wentz is maybe the best prospect he has traded when he acquired Shane Greene this past offseason. Or maybe Kolby Allard who was shipped to Texas for Chris Martin.

Both were fringe top 10 prospects in the Braves organization.

In order for the team to take that next step, AA is most likely going to have to trade a couple of top 10 prospects.

The first two don’t technically count as prospects anymore, but they aren’t far removed from being a top 10 prospect for Atlanta.

I don’t think all of these players will be moved, but I think these are five players that the Braves will be shopping in trades this offseason in order to make major upgrades.

They shouldn’t trade any of these players unless it’s for an impact player that has at least two years of control.

These are not players that we are simply giving up on and looking to ship. Instead, these are players with a ton of value that should be able to land us an impact player or two.
