With Atlanta Braves fans sidelined until the 2020 season, we thought we’d let them play GM for the day and give us their best mock trades.

It’s always dangerous when you put yourself out there on Twitter. And we did just that letting Atlanta Braves fans give us their mock trades for the offseason.

While for the most part we got some very good trade ideas presented to us, there were several bad ones and many sarcastic ones. We’ll start with those first.

Let me just tell you, we are not trading Brian Snitker. I know many of you are down on the Braves skipper — who just won another NL Manager of the Year award, by the way — but he’s going nowhere.

There were several tweets to trade Luke Jackson for a new batboy. Funny, but likely not going to happen.

Maybe my favorite was from @ultramanATL who said trade Tyler Flowers for Kurt Suzuki. Oh, how I wish this could be true.

There were also several trade suggestions for Mookie Betts, but none really made sense. And as our own Matthew Browning wrote on Thursday, that deal doesn’t seem worth it for the Atlanta Braves.

Related Story. Could Braves trade for Mookie. light

There was a trade suggestion to go get Charlie Morton from Tampa Bay. I like that idea, but the trade didn’t make sense. Plus, Tampa got a really good deal with Morton so I doubt they trade him in the offseason.

That may be one to revisit if they fall behind during the 2020 season.

I saw a fairly decent proposal for Luis Castillo, but there is no way the Cincinnati Reds are trading their young ace.

Maybe what was most interesting to me in all of this is that it seems like Braves fans have given up on Kyle Wright. Almost every trade proposal had the Braves shipping away the former first-round pick.

Let’s get into some of the better mock trades we saw.
