The Atlanta Braves have some important decisions to come up in the next few weeks that they will have to make.

Atlanta Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos is certainly already prepared for the decisions he and his staff will have to make in the next few days regarding team options the Atlanta Braves hold and arbitration numbers they intend to file. Truthfully, the Atlanta Braves probably have already made these decisions and are just waiting for the time to release their decisions.

Between the players the Atlanta Braves hold a team option over, all the current players who can file for arbitration, and all the Atlanta Braves players who are getting ready to reach free agency, the Atlanta Braves are about to face a decision on 23 of the 40 players they currently have on their 40 man roster.

That doesn’t include Brian McCann, who we all know by now has decided to call it a career at this point.

While at first glance, that may seem like a large amount, and the Atlanta Braves may have a huge roster turnover this off-season. It’s really not, as it looks a lot more complicated than what meets the eye and basically a lot of the same players will be back on the Atlanta Braves roster.

With all this being digested, let’s get straight to the numbers and determine who we see will still be a fit on this Braves roster next season and who we think may have to be on the lookout for a new team this winter.
