The Atlanta Braves lineup posted some gaudy numbers this week even though a couple of players cooled off sharply. They also added a new guy; I think his name is Riley.

The Atlanta Braves ran into a buzz saw on the West Coast when their pitching collapsed at the same time as their lineup faced one of the NL’s best rotations’ top three starters.

Thankfully, the Diamondbacks bullpen provided a more hospitable welcome, and the bats took advantage of it. Remember that the data reflects games from  May 10 through May 16 only.

It seems redundant to say Freddie Freeman stayed hot, but he did. Brian McCann continued to hit baseballs a long way with regularity; he almost has to with legs that find running as distasteful as his.

Charlie Culberson jumped from the frigid hinterlands to the tropics in a week where he turned in his best Brooks Conrad impression to date without the defensive miscues.

Austin Riley’s first appearance in the red zone won’t be his last. We saw enough of his patience and power to make his at-bats must-see-TV.

Ronald Acuna started to inch back to the warm zone after a cold front passed through last week.

Both Johan Camargo and Tyler Flowers appeared to turn a corner, but their results reflect a fondness for the Arizona bullpen buffet and small sample size.

Nick Markakis came back to Earth a little from his hot opening six-plus weeks.  Dansby Swanson continued to cool off after a red-hot start, and Ozzie Albies’ struggles against right-handed pitching are a real cause for concern.

Here are the overall numbers for your viewing pleasure. As usual, these statistics come from a custom search on Fangraphs.
