We are already at the quarter mark of the season surprisingly, so our MLB Power Rankings are starting to work themselves out.

The Atlanta Braves ended the week well after a very disappointing start. Let’s recap the rest of the league as well with our weekly MLB Power Rankings.

1. Los Angeles Dodgers

Braves fans got to witness first hand how good the Dodgers are right now. Certainly the NL favorite at the moment, they are probably the World Series favorites at the moment. Hyun-Jin Ryu is pitching like an ace right now

2. Chicago Cubs

The Cubs are still hot right now going 8-2 over their last 10 games. Over the last four weeks, the Cubs have the best team ERA in baseball. That includes the little time Jon Lester missed.

3. Houston Astros

It won’t affect much besides a minor scuffle for the next few days maybe, but having to put Jose Altuve on the IL with a strained hamstring might be something to monitor for the long haul.

4. New York Yankees

The Yankees are right on the Rays footsteps for first in the division. That is in part due to taking 2 out of 3 from the division rival this past weekend. The better news for them is they now get Baltimore seven of the teams next 10 games.

5. Minnesota Twins

Good news and bad news for the Twins. Good news is Miguel Sano is due to come back very soon and make his 2019 debut. The bad news is slugger Nelson Cruz is heading for an MRI on his wrist.

6. Tampa Bay Rays

Tampa Bay was also hit with some injury news this weekend. Young prized starter Tyler Glasnow will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks with a forearm strain. That means we will probably get to see the opener strategy again.

7. Philadelphia Phillies

Philadelphia’s starting pitching is becoming the driving force behind the early season success. The team now heads home to face the Brewers and the Rockies. Hopefully those teams can help the Braves out a little.

8. Milwaukee Brewers

After sweeping both the Mets and the Nationals, the Brewers lost the series against the Cubs. They face the Phillies before coming into Atlanta next weekend.

9. Boston Red Sox

The defending champs have gotten back in the race. They have done that by winning five straight and 8 out of there last 9. They have also found a really good player in Michael Chavis.

10. St. Louis Cardinals

Two weeks ago, the Cardinals were flying high (No pun intended), but things have fallen off the tracks since then. The Pirates, Phillies, and Cubs have all took there turn beating up on them. Hopefully they stay cold for at least three more games as they open a series with the Braves Tuesday evening.
