With Opening Day two weeks away, we can squarely put the Atlanta Braves disappointing offseason in the rearview mirror and there’s no better way to usher in the 2019 season than to make outrageous, bold predictions.

Ah preseason predictions.  The trick with any of these isn’t so much to make a prediction for our Atlanta Braves, it’s to make one that is ‘out there’ while still being plausible

That said, the bold and daring remarks made here in March will often make a person look like a fool in October… and this is fully admitted.

Like the time I picked the Diamondbacks in the World Series last year or when I picked Stephen Strasburg to win the Cy Young Award in…(hahahaha…sorry that was just an embarrassing prediction no matter the year).

But alas, here we are.

Despite the moves (or lack thereof) made in the offseason, the Atlanta Braves still have plenty of young, exciting talent to contend for the playoffs.

Throw in the prospect capital and “financial flexibility” (already the Phrase Of The Year) extra money to make significant moves later this summer and the Braves are just as interesting as other contenders in the NL.

I would love to hear what you think of my thoughts, as well as any predictions you have, so please drop a line in the comments.
