Charlotte got a run in the 3rd, but Gwinnett put up a pair of runs in the 5th inning to score the tight win. Wes Parsons went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits and a walk, striking out 2.
Phil Gosselin had a double. Xavier Avery had a single, walk, and a stolen base.

Mississippi Braves 3, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 0, Game 1; Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 1, Mississippi Braves 0, Game 2
Ian Anderson dominated the opening game of the doubleheader, striking out 10 Jacksonville hitters over 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and 2 walks. Thomas Burrows struck out the side in his inning of work to get the save.
Connor Lien was the only M-Brave to reach base twice, getting a single and a walk.
The Braves were 1-hit in the second game on a tremendous pitching performance from Robert Duggar for Jacksonville. Ricardo Sanchez made the start for Mississippi, going 4 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks, striking out 4.

Charlotte Stone Crabs 8, Florida Fire Frogs 2
Florida saw starter Joey Wentz get hit hard and knocked out early, and the offense couldn’t put anything on the board until the 6th inning. Wentz lasted just 2 2/3 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, striking out 3.
Drew Waters had a double and a pair of singles. Riley Delgado, Garrison Schwartz, and William Contreras each had a double.

Asheville Tourists 5, Rome Braves 4
After Rome took a 3-1 lead, Asheville scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take the lead back. Rome scored again in the 7th only to see the Tourists score the winning run in the bottom of the 8th in a back-and-forth contest Saturday.
Keith Weisenberg was rolling well until the bottom of the sixth, finishing with 4 runs allowed over 5 1/3 innings on 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 7.
Jefrey Ramos had a pair of doubles. Justin Dean and Shean Michel each had a pair of singles, a walk, and a stolen base. Trey Harris had a double and a single. Drew Lugbauer had a double and a walk.
