OF Michael Reed promoted from Gwinnett to Atlanta
Durham Bulls 4, Gwinnett Stripers 2, Game 1; Gwinnett Stripers 5, Durham Bulls 4, Game 2
Durham put up 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th to take game 1 of the doubleheader with Gwinnett. Wes Parsons made the start, going 5 2/3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks, striking out 6.
Danny Santana led the offense with a home run and a single. Sean Kazmar had a pair of singles. Austin Riley had a solo home run.
A big 3-run rally got the Stripers a split on the day’s doubleheader. Corbin Clouse picked up the win in relief, tossing two perfect innings, striking out 4. Xavier Avery had a double and two singles. Austin Riley had a home run, his 15th on the season.

CJ Alexander had a big night, hitting his first high-A home run along with a pair of singles. William Contreras had a single and a walk.

Bluefield scored 3 in the first inning, and they stayed in control the rest of the game, holding off a 9th inning Danville rally. Greg Cullen had a double and a pair of singles. Henry Quintero had a trio of singles. Nicholas Vizcaino had a pair of doubles and a walk. Nicholas Shumpert and Carlos Baerga each had a pair of singles.

The Braves were completely shut out in a doubleheader on Tuesday. In the first game, four pitchers combined for 9 1/3 innings, striking out 9, allowing only an unearned run. Victor De Hoyos had a stolen base.
Both teams were scoreless until the very last inning when the Phillies East team scored its two runs in the second game. Luis De Jesus made the start and went 6 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks, striking out 5.
