LHP Max Fried assigned to rehab assignment with Gwinnett
OF Jared James released by Florida

Buffalo Bisons 8, Gwinnett Stripers 0

Max Fried made a rehab start and was okay, allowing 3 runs over 4 1/3 innings on 4 hits and 4 walks, striking out 5. Corbin Clouse did have an impressive outing, tossing two perfect innings, striking out 4. However, the offense was not able to capitalize on 9 hits, while Buffalo turned 11 hits into 8 runs.

Sean Kazmar had four singles. Michael Reed and Rio Ruiz each had a pair of singles.

Chattanooga Lookouts @ Mississippi Braves

Postponed due to rain, will be made up Saturday.

Lakeland Flying Tigers 5, Florida Fire Frogs 1

Connor Johnstone had a solid start, the Fire Frogs scored first, but it wasn’t enough as Matt Manning struck out 8 over 5 innings against the Fire Frogs for Lakeland. Johnstone went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits and a walk, striking out 4.

Riley Delgado and CJ Alexander each had a pair of singles. Garrison Schwartz had a stolen base.

Lakewood BlueClaws 7, Rome Braves 2

Lakewood scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning, and BlueClaws starter Andrew Brown shut down Rome after allowing a first-inning run. Hagen Owenby had a pair of singles as the only Rome hitter with multiple hits. Drew Lugbauer had a solo home run.
