The Atlanta Braves relievers are wearing ruts track in the road between STP and Gwinnett. The next arm called could be MLB’s number 47 and Braves number four prospect.
About 3:30 this afternoon Atlanta Braves beat writer David O’Brien tweeted that the Stripers scratched Luiz Gohara from his scheduled start.
Luiz Gohara not making what would've been his scheduled rotation turn tonight at Triple-A Gwinnett. It's not health reasons. Hearing he could be latest young starter to get innings out of #Braves big-league bullpen, like Fried and Sims.

In a story for the AJC shortly afterwards, O’Brien said Gohara could join the team for tomorrow’s game against the Rays.
Over the past 30 days, @Braves starting pitchers rank top-10 in both ERA and FIP. As Mike Soroka looks to lock down the fifth rotation spot, could Anibal Sanchez, Luiz Gohara and/or Kolby Allard see time in the bullpen?#ChopOn | #ChopcastLIVE pic.twitter.com/4F0XfjrvEU

Atlanta Braves bullpen’s been better of late
The Atlanta Braves started the season with a starting rotation made up of your arms, the mystery of Julio Teheran and veterans with significant injury history. Those issues convinced them they needed an eight man bullpen.
Early in the season the pens was unreliable to awful depending on the day. The weeding out process took a few weeks but the Braves now a have several arms they can rely on.
Shane Carle, Jesse Biddle, Dan Winkler, A.J. Minter, Arodys Vizcaino, old war-horse Peter Moylan and now that the weather’s warmed up Sam Freeman are solid.
While Carle, Biddle and Winkler can give the Braves a couple of innings no one consistently fills the role of long man.
The Braves solution’s been to rotate starters between Gwinnett and STP. That’s a hard thing to manage with the team beginning a road trip, as a result the Braves apparently – and not surprisingly – decided Gohara provided a better option than Luke Jackson.
