Braves 2018 Spring Training games start on Friday!

The wait is almost over!  It’s been many long months without baseball, but the time is quickly approaching.  And I can’t be more excited about this upcoming season…well, maybe you can be, but I’m pretty pumped.

The young pitching staff – rotation and bullpen – Ozzie, Acuna, Swanson, Ender, Camargo and oh yeah, Freddie!  Soon we’ll see these guys on the field day in and day out!

Pitchers and catchers reported to camp already over a week ago, players a few days ago and now games start tomorrow — Friday!

The Braves play the New York Mets to kick off the 2018 Spring Training season at Port St Lucie.  First pitch is scheduled for 1:10pm ET.  This game is on MLB.tv and SNY.

Braves lineup has not been announced yet for Fridays game, but we do know Matt Wisler will start on the mound.

The 25-year-old will open things up for the Braves and he looks to prove that he’s found his command.  With a career 5.26 ERA, Wisler’s time with the Braves may be evaporating so this start could be huge for him…even though he’ll most likely only go one inning.

Sean Newcomb will start Saturday for the Braves and Scott Kazmir will start Sunday.

One thing we do know for the lineup tomorrow, Ronald Acuna is not on the travel roster.

The Mets will send this lineup out against the Braves tomorrow afternoon.
