Atlanta Braves Trade Chaz Roe to Rays for Cash Considerations
The Atlanta Braves finally made a trade today. It wasn’t a big blockbuster, but Chaz Roe has been sent to the Tampa Bay Rays.
Reports are coming in that Atlanta Braves reliever Chaz Roe has been traded to the Tampa Bay Rays.
Initial thoughts are that this is most likely a trade for cash. Roe wasn’t going to net any actual physical bodies.
And even as I type this, Mark Bowman comes through with an update:
During his time with Atlanta, Roe pitched to a 4.09 ERA in 24 games. He struck out 27 while walking 9. Roe was 1-0 with a FIP of 2.19 and a 1.182 WHIP.
As Bowman says, Roe’s latest outing in Gwinnett didn’t go so well. Allowing 3 runs in just one inning doesn’t bode well for a guy trying to get back to the big leagues.

It had been 58 days since Coppy’s last trade. I have a feeling that we won’t have to wait that long before the next trade gets reported.
