With the All-Star Break being this week, you’d think there wouldn’t be a significant amount of “Braves baseball” to talk about. Well, as you’ve probably learned from Twitter, Braves baseball season never sleeps.

Here’s a breakdown of Atlanta Braves‘ stuff this week in the Nation:

    • Tomahawk Take writer, Dan Horton (aka @DatBravesDH) joins us for the first time
    • I tell share the story of the time Satchel Paige was an Atlanta Braves pitching coach
    • I yell at co-host Ken
    • Ken has to bleep out several choice words
    • I question Bryce Harper
    • We come up with potential new podcast names, to honor the Gwinnett Braves

Editor’s notes:  our writing tools are complaining that there aren’t nearly enough words in this post – even though the guys used several thousand of them (bleeped or otherwise) in the actual podcast.  So here’s a few more words in the form of a Q and A so that our managers don’t yell at us.

  • Q: Is Knockahoma a real word?  A: No, but we can add it to our spell-check dictionary, so it’s cool.
  • Q: Is the podcast scripted?  A: You’re kidding, right?
  • Q: What is a rain delay?  A Nationals game in which baseball is occasionally played.
  • Q: If the Braves are your favorite team, which is your least favorite?  A: The Metsionals.
  • Q: How on earth did you get onto iTunes?  A: We told them this was a gardening podcast.

Well, that’s all the time we have for today with like… typed out words.  So for the rest… see the podcast!

Next: A couple of Braves trade rumors...
