More from Tomahawk Take

Monday

Montgomery defeated Mississippi in 10 innings on Monday 3-2. Matt Withrow threw a solid start, going 5 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits and 2 walks, striking out 3.

Luis Valenzuela and Dylan Moore each had a walk and a hit by pitch. Adam Walker had a home run.

Tuesday

Mississippi fought to score two in the top of the 8th inning to defeat Montgomery 3-2. Max Fried threw arguably the best game in the Atlanta Braves system this year so far, going 7 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk, striking out 6.

Jared James had a home run, but no Mississippi hitter reached base twice in the game.

Wednesday

Montgomery hit Mike Soroka well and Mississippi couldn’t recover in a 5-2 loss. Soroka went 4 innings, allowing 5 runs (3 earned) on 8 hits and 2 walks, striking out 3.
