Now that the grass is in and the final details are being set into place, some videographers are having a great time looking at the new ballpark.

The Atlanta Braves’ new Cobb ballpark has been looking good throughout construction, but now that there is an actual Field of Green in place, the entire facility now looks “real”.

Almost immediately after this milestone was reached, video journalist – and the Braves – have been hard at work to show off a nearly finished stadium to various media.  Here are a few such reports:  [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]… and a 360° view from a sideline.

Even in some of these works you’ll see below, you can see workers putting in the final touches:  flags on top of the foul poles.  Seat details, numbers, and various ‘quality control’ measures.  Lighting board checks.  Even the Chick-fil-a cow has an electronic board.

The other thing is that you see a lot of worker activity happening in the night shots.  Lots of overtime to make sure everything is ready.

Note the sight lines.  The narrow foul territory.  The fact that even folks in the upper decks will have to pay attention to avoid being hit by a foul ball.

Much has been made of the smaller capacity of this ballpark:  41,500 vs. 49,586 at Turner Field (officially… though 54,357 were squeezed in for a playoff 2003 game vs. the Chicago Cubs.

But with the deck tiers pulled in, the intimate setting of this park will make 41,000 fans doing the Chop sound like 60,000 strong.

Check these out…

We now stand at 16 days until the first baseball game will be played here.  14 more gets us to Opening Day.
