TODAY IS THE DAY when Atlanta Braves Pitchers and Catchers are set to report in!  Hibernation is over!  Baseball is back!

It is time.  Members of the 2017 Atlanta Braves at all levels are checking in at Walt Disney World this morning.

Lots of handshakes, hugs, and back slaps.  Physicals will be performed, workout gear will be issued, and for some… Social Security checks will be passed out (well, not quite yet for some).

Who are these pitchers and catchers anyway?

The list looks quite a bit different from that seen just a year ago.  Here’s the list from the 2016 40-man roster:

    • 18 HOME GAMES, 14 ROAD
    • FINAL FLA GAME:  MAR 29 (vs. METS)
    • FINAL EXHIBITION GAME:  MAR 31 (vs. YANKEES; SunTrust Park)
    • All games 1:05pm EST except Mar 1, 23, and 27

    WBC GAMES OF INTEREST – POOL C and D

    • March 9-13: Pool C Round-Robin
    • MARCH 9:  Canada vs. Dominican Republic (6pm)
    • MARCH 10: Colombia vs. USA (6 pm)
    • MARCH 11: Canada vs. Colombia (Noon); DR vs USA (6:30pm)
    • MARCH 12: COL vs. DR (12:30); CAN vs. USA (7pm)
    • MARCH 13: Pool C tie-breaker if necessary
    • March 9-13: Pool D Round-Robin (includes VENZ and P-RICO)
    • POOL C/D Playoffs:  MARCH 14-19
    • FINAL ROUND: MARCH 20-22
