We continue our Atlanta Braves Leaving Fulton County series with your stories. Today, we hear the story of Wes. He gives us a story many of us are all too familiar with; the 1996 Fall Classic.

Wes, a tried and true Atlanta Braves fan, gives us our next story. His recount of Game 3 of the 1996 World Series between the Braves and the Yankees is enduring.

From the perspective of a 9-year-old kid, it’s what many of us have yet to ever experience; the World Series live and in person.

I’ve dreamed of being able to go to a World Series game. I’ve never been fortunate enough to 1) be close enough to go and 2) afford the price per head a ticket costs.

Wes, at a young age, had the privilege of getting to see some of the game’s premier talent. Players like Mariano Rivera, Andruw Jones, Chipper Jones, Tom Glavine, and Derek Jeter.

As I said before, we all have that one defining moment that cemented our lifelong fidelity to America’s Team. This is Wes, and this is his story.
