The Braves used a 4-run 7th inning to defeat Tennessee 5-3. Jed Bradley made the start and went 5 2/3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks, striking out 2. Dustin Peterson had a double, single, and a walk. Joey Meneses had a double and a single. Connor Lien had two singles. Dansby Swanson had a single and a walk. Johan Camargo had a double.

Friday

Mississippi was on the short end of a pitchers’ duel on Friday, losing 2-1 to Tennessee. Manny Banuelos went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and a walk, striking out 6. Dustin Peterson had a triple and a single. Willians Astudillo had two singles. Joey Meneses had a single and a walk. Dansby Swanson had a steal.

Saturday

Mississippi shut out Tennessee on Saturday 3-0. Lucas Sims had his best start since his return to Mississippi, going 7 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing 4 hits and 4 walks, striking out 4. Johan Camargo had a triple, a single, and a walk. Ozzie Albies had a double and a single. Dustin Peterson had two singles. Connor Lien hit his first home run of the season. Joey Meneses and Joseph Odom each had a double.

Sunday

When starter Sean Newcomb ran out of gas and the bullpen couldn’t keep his runs from crossing the plate to lose the lead in the 7th, the Braves offense bounced back with four runs in the final two innings to win 8-5. Newcomb’s final talley was 6 innings, 4 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks, striking out 3. He did leave the game in the 7th with the bases loaded, but he only had one run allowed at that point. Dustin Peterson had two doubles and a single. Carlos Franco had three singles. Ozzie Albies had a double, a single, a walk, and a stolen base. Dansby Swanson had a double and a single.
