Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: It’s really nice to say this (though it took 13 innings to get there)…every hitter in the Braves starting lineup got a hit on Wednesday! Jace Peterson hit a double in the 13th to make this happen! The Atlanta Braves totaled 19 hits on the night (which has to be a 2016 record) and won the ball game. Braves improve to 19-46 for the 2016 season and will look to get that exclusive 20th victory on Thursday against these same Cincinnati Reds. One negative from the Braves bullpen was Casey Kelly. He’s been very inconsistent with his appearances…three appearances ago he gave up five hits and four runs and then gave up no hits and no runs. Wednesday four hits and three runs.

Reds lose in 13 to Braves
Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: If you stayed up late to watch the end of this game, you surely got your money’s worth. The Brave gave up two runs in the top of the 13th inning only to come back and score three runs in the bottom of the 13th and win the ball game…also avoided being swept by an awful team (still one more game in this four game series on Friday). The production in the 13th inning came from Adonis Garcia, Jace Peterson, Tyler Flowers, Nick Markakis and d’Arnaud! A positive from the bullpen was Dario Alvarez who was able to last two innings without giving up a hit and had five strikeouts. He helped to keep John Gant on the bench so he can start on Friday.
Freddie Freeman hit for the cycle, Chase d’Arnaud had a bases-loaded single in the 13th inning to cap a three-run rally and the Atlanta Braves beat the Cincinnati Reds 9-8 on Wednesday night.
The Reds took an 8-6 lead in the 13th on Jose Peraza’s bases-loaded walk with two outs and Joey Votto’s run-scoring single off Alexi Ogando (2-1), the Braves’ ninth pitcher.
Freeman became the first Brave to hit for the cycle since Mark Kotsay against the Cubs on Aug. 14, 2008. He is also the first to do it in the majors this season.
Braves’ Freddie Freeman completes cycle with 11th-inning single
Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Haven’t heard yet? Well here it is again and again…Freddie Freeman hit for the cycle on Wednesday June 15, 2016! His first in his professional career and the first time a Braves player has done this feat in almost eight years. Mark Kotsay hit for the cycle for the Braves in 2008 against the Cubs. Freeman is the first player to accomplish the cycle in 2016.
Extra innings gave Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman the chance to do what no other Atlanta player had done in nearly eight years.
Freeman completed the cycle with a leadoff single in the 11th inning against theCincinnati Reds on Wednesday night. He doubled in the third, tripled in the fourth and hit his 11th homer in the sixth.
“It would have meant nothing if we didn’t win,” he said after the Bravesprevailed 9-8 in 13 innings.
“It seems I always need a triple,” said Freeman, who had no triples in 2015 but has two this season.

Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: On Wednesday, not only did we see Freeman’s cycle and the Braves win, we also saw two of our top three draft picks at Turner Field. These guys officially signed on the dotted line and will be reporting to Orlando today to begin practicing and playing in games! Looking forward to see these guys on the mound in a Braves uniform.
Officially and Atlanta Brave! Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality! Can't wait to get to work! pic.twitter.com/neMBi3wtQk
