Monday
Gwinnett got a solo home run from Rio Ruiz to break the tie and defeat Pawtucket 6-5 Monday. John Gant got the start and threw better than his line stated, as he went 6 2/3 innings, allowing 5 runs on 11 hits and a walk, striking out 6. Matt Tuiasosopo had two singles and a walk. Ozzie Albies had a single and a double. Rio Ruiz had a home run and a walk. Emerson Landoni had two singles. Brandon Snyder had a single, a walk, and stole a base.
Tuesday
Lucas Sims started out very well, but blew up in the third inning, and the G-Braves ended up on the short end of a 6-4 game with Pawtucket. Sims went 4 innings, allowing 6 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks, striking out 5. He allowed 3 home runs!
Ozzie Albies and Stephen Gaylor each had a single and a walk. Jace Peterson had a stolen base.

Mississippi got the bad version of Andrew Thurman on Tuesday and couldn’t put up any runs as they lost to Biloxi 7-1. Thurman went 3 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks, striking out 2. No Mississippi batter reached base twice. Matt Lipka did steal his 8th base.

Mississippi scored 4 in the top of the 13th inning to win 6-2 over Biloxi. Chris Ellis went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and 3 walks, striking out 6. Columbia used a 3-run 5th inning to defeat Rome 4-3 on Tuesday in spite of only 4 hits. Touki Toussaint made it to the 4th inning without allowing a hit, but poor defense behind him really hurt his case as he ended up with 5 innings, 4 runs (3 earned), 2 hits, 4 walks, and a strikeout. Luke Dykstra and Austin Riley each had three singles. Ray-Patrick Didder and Leudys Baez each had two singles. Jonathan Morales had a steal. Carlos Castro had a monster home run.

Rome took a 3-2 lead into the 7th inning, but the bullpen got smoked for a 9-3 loss. Mike Soroka got the start and went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits and a walk, striking out 5. Alejandro Salazar had two singles and a double. Carlos Castro had a three-run home run.
