Gwinnett defeated Durham 4-1. Shae Simmons “started” the game in his rehab assignment, throwing the first inning and striking out the side, allowing one hit and one walk. Casey Kelly then relieved him and pitched a gem, going 7 innings, allowing just a solo home run among 3 hits and a walk, striking out 7. Ozzie Albies had two singles and a double. Matt Tuiasosopo had a double, a home run, and a walk. Ronnier Mustelier had a single and 2 walks. Emilio Bonifacio had a triple and Adonis Garcia had a double.
Tuesday
Gwinnett fell to Durham 5-3 Tuesday. Kanekoa Texeira threw 4 2/3 innings, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) on 8 hits and a walk, striking out 3. Adonis Garcia had two doubles and a single. Matt Tuiasosopo had two singles and a walk. Emilio Bonifacio had two singles. Ronnier Mustelier had two singles.
Wednesday
Gwinnett scored early and took the game over Durham 4-2. Shae Simmons made his second rehab “start”, throwing the first inning and striking out the side while allowing a hit and walking 2. Tyrell Jenkins then came in and threw 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks, striking out one. Sean Kazmar had two singles. Emilio Bonifacio had a single and a walk. Ozzie Albies hit his second AAA home run. Adonis Garcia and Emerson Landoni each had a double.

Mississippi defeated Pensacola in extra innings 4-3. Sean Newcomb went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits and 3 walks, striking out 7. Dansby Swanson had a home run and a single along with a walk. Carlos Franco had 3 walks. Dustin Peterson had a double. Dian Toscano had a triple.
Tuesday
Mississippi ran into a pitching buzzsaw Tuesday, losing to Pensacola 3-1. Rob Whalen struggled to 4 innings, 3 runs allowed on 8 hits, 3 walks, with 3 strikeouts. Victor Mateo had a great relief stint, pitching 3 perfect relief innings, striking out 3. Mel Rojas, Jr. had 3 walks and a stolen base. Dian Toscano had two walks.
Wednesday
In spite of a sparkling start from Brandon Barker, the M-Braves bullpen gave up 3 in the bottom of the 8th inning to lose to Pensacola 3-2. Barker went 6 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits on 2 walks, striking out 8. Matt Lipka had a double and a single. Jordy Lara had two singles. Dansby Swanson, Willians Astudillo, and Carlos Franco each had a single and a walk.

Ryan Clark had a very solid start outside of the long ball, going 6 2/3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits (2 home runs) and a walk, striking out 6. Braxton Davidson hit the game-tying home run in the bottom of the 9th inning and added a single. Reed Harper had two singles. Keith Curcio had a single, walk, and a stolen base. Joseph Odom walked twice. Erison Mendez had a double.

Carolina was rained out.
Wednesday
Carolina was shut out of their entire double header on Wednesday. In game one, Potomac took the game 3-0. Enderson Franco got the start and went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks, striking out 5. Keith Curcio was the only Mudcat on base twice with a single and a walk, and he stole his 9th base of the season.
Potomac took the second game 2-0. Zach Quintana pitched a short outing as a fill-in starter on the day, going 4 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits and a walk, striking out 3. The Mudcats could only manage two total hits against former Braves farmhand Greg Ross.
