"Police sources say the female victim called 911 from the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City at 6:51 Wednesday morning saying she had been assaulted. Police say the victim had bruises and was transported to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. Olivera was at the hotel and taken into police custody.Olivera is currently being processed by the Arlington Police Department. He has not yet been formally charged.Police say Olivera and female victim are known to one another. Details of the relationship unknown at this time."

No – didn’t see this coming at all, and if there’s any shred of truth to the allegation, the Braves could be without Hector Olivera for a while… irrespective of the criminal complaint, MLB has a domestic abuse suspension protocol that would come into play as well.
