The Morning Chop Features Food Fare to Make Cardiologists Cancel Vacation Plans
It was a year ago when the Braves announced a new partnership with the Delaware North Sportservice to handle future food services for their games. The original announcement suggested that this partnership will begin in 2017 with the opening of Suntrust Park, though the announcement of new menu offerings suggests that current provider Aramark may have already been kicked to the curb for this season.
By now y’all have probably seen tweets about most of the new items that will be available at the Ted for its last season with the Braves. Let’s just say that they kinda outdid themselves. Probably the best line I saw about these ‘dishes’ was that it seemed the ‘chef scraped all the trash off the counter and dumped it into a deep fryer.’
BURGERIZZA
This is the one most people are talking about. BurgerZilla would have been another appropriate name. An 8″ pizza on top of a 20 ounce bacon cheeseburger. It’s also going to be $26.00. Oh, and that lower “bun” is also a pizza.
Among the @Braves' new food items is a Burgerizza. Yes, a burger combined with a pizza: https://t.co/GAw4opMYni pic.twitter.com/dm1QMHCRZQ

TATER TOT CHOP
For $16, we’ll take tater tots that have been mangled through a waffle iron, cooked, embellished with bacon (of course), cheese, and jalapeños. That’s one side of a sandwich and you get two of these ‘tot buns’. I don’t know that there’s anything in the middle of this ‘sandwich’, but they will include ketchup that’s been injected with Coca-cola.
Honestly, in this pic I can’t tell where it starts… or ends.

THE T.E.D.
It’s The Everything Dog, which kinda goes with that one-liner above. Jalapeños, popcorn, chili, nacho chips, beer cheese, and a barbecue sauce also infused with Coke.
Not a sandwich. It’s a hot dog. And so much more.

THE PUNISHER
If the rest weren’t ridiculous, then this takes it. For $18, you get smoked BBQ rib meat – country fried – inside a Hawaiian bun with a fried onion. That BBQ sauce is also infused, but not with Coca-cola this time: it’s a Monster energy drink. Yes, that’s candied bacon as a garnish.

BUFFALO CHICKEN AND WAFFLES
You’ve heard of chicken and rice, chicken and biscuits, and even chicken and waffles. Too mundane for this bunch. Let’s make a sandwich out of waffles with Buffalo chicken in the middle… with “Slawsa” and pickles as toppers.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE
- Fried Green Tomatoes… this time something actually kinda normal
- A smoked brisket Po-Boy sandwich
- Shrimp Rolls (seriously thing Delaware North got this one mixed up with the Nationals)
- ‘Top-N-Go’. This demands a photo:

…and finally… the Sausage Sundae. Yeah, buddy.
